Santos, partners start 3D seismic in E. Java oil, gas discovery

Australian oil and gas explorer Cue Eenergy Resources Limited on Tuesday announced that the MV Geco Angler had begun acquisition of a 72 square kilometers 3D seismic survey over the Oyong oil and gas discovery in the Sampang production sharing contract (PSC), offshore East Java.
According to Cue, the 3D seismic data will be used in conjunction with other ongoing studies to assist in preparing reserve estimates and in development planning.
Australian oil firm Santos Limited, the block operator, holds 45 percent working interest in Sampang PSC, while Coastal Indonesia Sampang and Cue holds 40 percent and 15 percent, respectively. (alex).
