Santos: Peluang gas field to start production in first-half 2014

ASX-listed firm Santos Limited said on Friday that the Peluang gas field, offshore East Java, is on track for first gas production in the first half of 2014.
The company, which owns 67.5 percent interest in the field located adjacent to the Maleo gas field, said that about 22 percent of the targeted works at the Peluang gas project have been completed.
Santos said that procurement for long-lead items has been completed; fabrication of the wellhead platform and equipment skid packages is progressing; and one-well tieback to the existing facilities at Maleo.
The company projected gross peak production rate of 25 mmscf per day. Peluang and Maleo fields are located in the Madura offshore block, both of which operated by Santos.
