Santos plans H2 E. Java and 2006 Kutei Basin drillings

Australia?s top oil firm Santos Limited plans to drill two to three explorations wells in its East Java acreages for the remainder of the year and would hold appraisal and further exploration campaign in Kutei Basin offshore East Kalimantan next year.

The company said in its presentation slides released Thursday that the company had acquired 3D seismic survey in Sampang PSC and Madura PSC with the data currently being processed.

The company also said drillings are planned to appraise Hiu Aman discovery in Donggala PSC and further exploration drillings in its Kutei Basin acreages. Santos has 50 percent participating interest in Donggala and 20 percent interest in nearby Popodi PSC and Papalang PSC. (alex)
