Santos: PQ for Ande Ande Lumut FPSO around two months from now

ASX-listed firm Santos Ltd. expects to carry out the pre-qualification process of the tender for the contract to construct a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) at Ande Ande Lumut (AAL) oil field within around two months.
Santos? President Director Marjolijn Wajong told Petromindo.com that the company is now in the process of fullfilling administrative requirements the project together with upstream authority SKK Migas. The process is expected to be completed within two months.
"Once all administrative requirements have been met, we shall begin the pre-qualification stage (of the tender) for the FPSO. Once the prequalification has been completed, we shall get into the tender process," she said.
Santos took over a 50 percent participating interest in the Northwest Natuna PSC, including AAL which holds 101 million barrel of oil in K-Sand reservoir, from ASX-listed AWE Limited. Another reservoir called G Sand has a reserve of 35 million barrels of oil. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and SKK Migas approved the sale of a 50 percent participating interest and the transfer of operatorship to Santos in Nov. 2013.
Previously, it was reported that the AAL oil field is expected to be onstream in 2017 and initial production from the field could exceed 25,000 barrels per day.
