Santos spuds E. Java appraisal well

Australian oil firm Santos Limited announced that it had spudded Jeruk2 appraisal well in Sampang PSC in E. Java basin on Thursday.
Santos said the well is 1.6 kilometers East of Jeruk 1 well, which had been plugged and abandoned last April.
Jeruk2 is planned to be drilled to the depth of 5,300 meters.
Santos, the PSC operator has 50 percent interest in well; with Medco E&P has the remaining 50 percent. (alex)
