Santos to commence drilling of 6 wells in H1 2013

Australian oil and gas company Santos Limited and partners plan to commence a 6-well commitment drilling program at the Ogan Komering I and Ogan Komering II CBM PSCs at the first half of next year.
The plan will form part of the firm?s 2013 drilling program, under which up to 12 wells at the two blocks will be drilled.
It said in a presentation that it had identified up to 60 meters coal thickness in the west of the licenses.
Santos farmed-in to the blocks in early August this year with Santos having 60 percent equity and operatorship. The PSCs are located close to the pipeline connected to undersupplied West Java gas market.
The presentation added that five sites and access are currently being prepared for the next year?s H1 drilling program.
