Santos to conduct seismic study in Sampang PSC, East Java

Australian oil, gas firm Santos Limited said Tuesday it would conduct 3-D seismic study in December in Sampang production sharing contract (PSC) exploration block, East Java, according to a company?s official.

?We have completed our drilling program this year and the 3-D seismic study would be conducted to determine new drilling locations,? John Bates, Santos Indonesia?s exploration manager told Petromindo.com .

Santos? 2001 exploration program in Sampang PSC had been a success as it discovered significant oil and gas resources in the prospect.

Santos holds 45 percent participating interest and operatorship in Sampang PSC, while Coastal Indonesia Sampang Ltd and Cue Sampang Pty Ltd hold 40 percent and 15 percent, respectively. (godang)
