Santos to extend FPSO contract with Apexindo

ASX-listed firm Santos Ltd. is likely to extend its existing contract IDX-listed drilling company PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk on the use of the latter?s floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the Oyong field in Sampang PSC, Madura Island, East Java. The contract expires in September 2015.
?God willing, we will extend the FPSO contract for another year, but (before making a decision) we?ll see if the oil flow is still large or not,? VP Supply Chain Management & Business Support of Santos, Hanny Denalda told Petromindo.com.
Early this month, Apexindo said it expected to continue working with Santos.
Two years ago, in a consortium with PT Supraco Lines and PT Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk consortium, Apexindo signed the contract with Santos on the utilization of FPSO Sea Good 101 for a period of one year with an extension option of one year.
