Santos unveils FPSO tender for ALL oil field project

Santos Northwest Natuna BV, a unit of ASX-listed Santos Ltd, the operator of the Northwest Natuna PSC in Natuna Sea, unveiled Tuesday tender for the lease of one unit of floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be used for the development of the Ande Ande Lumut (AAL) oil field in the PSC.

The company said in a tender announcement that the FPSO will be located at Natuna Sea, Riau Province. It said that the scope of the services include, but not limited to the design and engineering services, fabrication / construction, conversion and integration, operation and maintenance of the FPSO.

The FPSO shall have absolute minimum working storage capacity of 570,000 barrels of oil (excluding ullage requirements). Typically this would require a hull with a total storage capacity of 1,000,000 barrels including due allowance for offspec oil and water handling. Firm rental period shall be 9 (nine) years with options for additional rental periods of 3 (three) + 2 (two) + (six (6) x one (1)) years.

The prospective candidates shall follow the Pre-Qualification process and fulfill all requirements contained in the Pre-Qualification document. Registration and Pre-Qualification document collection can be made at the following address:

Registration and PQ document can be made on June 17-22, 2015, while submission of PQ document is scheduled on July 9.

Santos holds a 50 percent interest in the Northwest Natuna PSC, while the balance is held by ASX-listed AWE Ltd.
