Santos updates Kutei Basin drilling progress

Australian oil, gas firm Santos Limited reported on Thursday that the Pancang-1exploration well located in Popodi PSC in the Kutei Basin has drilled to a depth of 7,289 feet.
The well which was spudded on 2 June 2010 is programmed to drill ahead through multiple Eocene sandstone targets to a planned total depth of 13,692 feet, Santos said.
Santos has 20 percent interest in the block, which is operated by US independent oil, gas firm Anadarko Petroleum. (alex)
