PT Sarana Pembangunan Riau has now managed to increase production from its Langgak block to 600 bopd from 400 bopd two years ago when it was handed over the operatorship.
The production increase was revealed by Deputy of Operation Control at upstream authority BPMIGAS I Gde Pradnyana to petromindo.com.
Fully owned by the Riau province administration, the company took over the operatorship from PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) in April 2010.
The block is located in Rokan Hulu and Kampar regencies.
The government took over the oil block from CPI after its contract to operate the oil block ended in January, 2005. The government had allowed CPI to continue operation until 2010.
