Saripari Geosains survey team shot in Aceh, 1 injured

An oil and gas survey team from PT Saripari Geosains was shot by two unidentified men riding motorcycle in Aceh. The team?s car was shot as they passed by ExxonMobil?s pipeline in Paloh Punti Village, Blang Mangat Regency, Lhokseumawe, Aceh.

Three shots hit the glass window of the front door of the car, one and went through the left window and two though the windshield. Two people in the car, Hanafiah and Median Anju, survived the shooting with only minor bruises from the glass shreds.

Hanafiah was later taken to PT Arun hospital, but was allowed to go home later after receiving minor treatment.

The police are still conducting investigation on the case, but there has not been any suspect. Two FN bullets were found on the site.

Head of the Criminal unit of the Lhokseumawe police, AKP Galih Indragiri said local police officers are still chasing the two men, and motives of the shooting are still being investigated. (*)
