Sasol eyeing Indonesian coal liquefaction project

South African firm Sasol is eyeing opportunity to invest in Indonesian coal liquefaction projects and bilateral talks between the company and Indonesian government is scheduled to be held in mid-May 2008, a government official said.

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources? Research & Development Agency head Nenny Sri Utami told reporters on Tuesday that both parties are expected to sign MoU, which would be followed-up with JV company formation.

Nenny did not give further detail. (godang)
