SBY inaugurates Cepu?s new production facilities

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated on Tuesday the new production facilities of the Banyu Urip field of Cepu block in Bojonegoro, East Java that are able to increase the field?s oil production by 10,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 40,000 bpd.
The president signed a stone inscription to inagurate the facilities on the sidelines of his visit to atten the Indonesian Military (TNI) Anniversary in Surabaya, East Java, upstream authority SKK Migas said in a statement.
On Wednesday, Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chairul Tanjung, who is also interim Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, will visit Bojonegoro to see the facilities During the locasion, he will also inaugurate 11 energy projects across the country, SKK Migas said.
Cepu, which is co-operated by Mobile Cepu Limited and PT Pertamina EP Cepu, will reach its peak production of 165,000 bpd next year.
