SBY to inaugurate Adaro?s coal-fired power plant in S. Kalimantan

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is scheduled today to inaugurate the operation of the Tanjung 2x30 MW coal-fired power plant in South Kalimantan owned by IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk.
This was reported by Kontan daily on Wednesday, quoting Adaro President Director Boy Garibaldi Tohir. The Tanjung power plant is located near the company?s coal concession, which would supply about 400,000 tons of coal per year to the plant.
Boy said that his company is currently preparing to develop another coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 2x100 MW also in the South Kalimantan province, in addition to the development of the giant 2x1,000 MW coal-fired power plant in Central Java, which has been hampered by land acquisition.
