Scania, a leading global company in trucks, buses and engines, with headquarters in Sweden, officially established a representative office in Jakarta.
Ambassador of Sweden in Indonesia Ewa Polano and Head of Scania representatives office in Jakarta Mikael Benje, inaugurated the new office on February 22. Officials from the Scania business partner United Tractors also attended the ceremony.
"The establishment of Scania in Indonesia is yet another step up of Swedish presence in here. Last year we opened the Swedish Trade Council Office in Jakarta and we have seen a continued and strengthened trade relation with the impressively growing market in Indonesia. Swedish export increased 24% during January- November 2011, indeed a very positive development,? Ambassador Ewa Polano said in a statement made available to Petromindo.Com.
"The Embassy welcomes the decision of the Board of Directors at Scania some months ago to open the new office in Indonesia and we are looking forward to working closely with Scania and their great key partner United Tractors", Ambassador Polano added.
