Schedule for debating new oil and gas bill depends on the House: minister

The government has submitted the new oil and gas bill to the House of Representatives last month, according to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro.

Purnomo said that it was now up to the House when to start the debating process on the new bill.

"The government is basically ready (for the debate). But it is up to the House when to start the debate," he said.

He said that the new bill will transform the state-owned oil and gas company to become like an ordinary company.
