Schintar to drill exploration well in North Sumatera

PT Schintar Marquisa plans to drill an exploration well named Anugrah A in the Marquisa PSC onshore North Sumatera in the first half of this year.

?Schintar will spud Anugrah A well in the first half of this year,? upstream authority SKK Migas' Chief Representative for northern part of Sumatra (Sumbagut) Hanif Rusdy told Petromindo.com. He did not provide further details about the planned drilling program.

The Marquisa PSC which was signed on April 1, 2011 is owned 100 percent by Schintar. The PSC was awarded to the company for a term of 30 years including a six-year exploration period extendable for up to four years, with a signature bonus of US$1.1 million and initial exploration commitment of $5.5 million for G&G studies, 200 km of 2D seismic surveys, and one exploration well.
