Scomi secures new contract from Thailand

Malaysia-listed Scomi Energy Services Bhd (SESB), formerly known as Scomi Marine Bhd , said that its subsidiary, PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk (PTRT) had won a contract from Coastal Energy Company (CEC) in Thailand, for the provision of a 60 MT bollard pull anchor, handling, towing and supply (AHTS) vessel.
The contract is for a period of one year which commenced at the end June 2013, with an option for CEC to extend it for another year, the company said in a press statement on Friday.
The contract is valued at approximately RM22 million for the entire two-year duration. Under the Contract, PTRT will be providing anchor handling, towing and supply run for the customer?s offshore installation.

Mukhnizam Mahmud, President, Marine Services, Scomi Energy Services Bhd, said on Friday.
This brings SESB?s total orderbook for all divisions currently to RM5.08 billion.
Scomi Energy Services fleet of vessels currently stands at a total of 82 vessels comprising 42 Tugs, 29 Barges, six Utillity Vessels, three Anchor Handling Tug & Supply Vessels and two Accommodation Barges.
In addition to offshore support services, Scomi Energy Services? core business activity is in oilfield services, production enhancement and marine logistics, in the oil & gas and coal industries. The SESB group operates in over 50 locations across the globe.
