Scorpio clinches new transhipper deal with Glencore

Singapore-based firm Scorpio Logistics has bagged a 5-year contract from Switzerland-based global trading firm Glencore International AG, allowing the latter to use the former's transhipper offshore floating terminal/transhipper (OTF)named "Maria".

The company?s official told Petromindo.Com that Glencore has used the OTF since in November 2010. The OTF have four floating cranes, capable of loading maximum 64,000 tonnes of coal per day with guaranteed capacity of 40,000 tonnes per day, the official said.

The transshiper now located in Samarinda water, East Kalimantan, the official said.

The official also said that its other transhipper unit called ?Zeus? is looking for new spot clients. The ?Zeus is also now located in Samarinda water. ? Zeus is used for spot clients,? the official added.

Zues has a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per day. (denny)
