PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), which operates the Offshore Northwest Java (ONWJ) block offshore West Java, said on Friday that its second program of raising deck at Lima platform has been completed.
The program, which is part of the Lima Subsidence Remediation Project, is aimed to bring the Lima platform back into normal condition after being affected by seabed subsidence.
General Manager Jonly Sinulingga, told Petromindo.com PHE ONWJ was able to raise the deck by three meters in the second deck raising program. In the first deck raising program, the deck was raised by one meter. In total, the deck has thus been raised by four meters.
"Investment for this project (the Lima Subsidence Remediation Project) amounts to US$132 million, half of which is covered by the PHE ONWJ and the other half by PT Pertamina EP," he said.
Jonly explained that the Lima Subsidence Remediation Project aims to raise the level of the Lima flow station which includes three platforms, one platform bridge, and on flare bridge) by four meter simultaneously with the "Synchronized Hydraulic Jacking System'" method.
"We hope that Lima flow station can function normally back in mid-October 2013," he said.
