An earlier plan to implement a 2D seismic survey at Air Komering block in South Sumatra Province this month has been postponed to mid-December.

?It (the seismic survey) is likely to be postponed to mid-December,? said Hendy Barkat, Sr. Manager Seismic & Geosurvey at PT Sucofindo, which has been appointed to carry out the survey, to Petromnido.com on Friday, but stopped short of providing details.

The block is 100 percent owned and operated by PT Cahaya Batu Raja Blok which since 2010 has been a subsidiary of listed investment holding company PT Capitalinc Investment Tbk. The Air Komering PSC was awarded and signed on Dec. 12, 2004. The PSC area is estimated to hold approximatelly 2500 million barrels of oil and 100 billion cubic feet of gas reserves.
