A 3D seismic survey on Uno Dos Raya field operated by Indrilco Hulu Energy in joint operation with Pertamina EP (KSO IHE) in Musi Rawas regency, South Sumatra has been postponed since Tropik Energy, the operator of Pandan block located adjacent to the block, is still opposed to the survey plan.

This was said by Barita Sihombing, Opeational Director of PT Gelombang Seismik Indonesia (GSI). He did not specify why Tropi Energy refused to allow the execution of the survey.

GSI has been awarded a US$2.5 million contract to carry out the survey. Based on the contract, GSI should have started the survey end of last year or in the beginning of this year.

GSI is now moving its seismic operation to a field also in South Sumatra operated by another client KSO Petroleum Betun Selo.

?The 3D seismic survey there has just started. We are also prepared to carry out a seismic survey in South Batu Raja block operated by PT Anugerah Mutiara Sentosa (AMS) in South Sumatra,? he said.
