Sekawan plans to acquire coal mine

IDX-listed PT Sekawan Intipratama Tbk said that it is planning to acquire PT Putra Dewa Jaya (PDJ), which operates a coal mine in Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan.

The company said in a filing with the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Tuesday that it is currently making evaluation process of the acquisition plan, hopefully to be completed in July.

Sekawan said that PDJ?s 1,057-hectare mine has coal resources of more than 1.3 million tons, with calorific value of 6,800-7,800 kcal/kg.
