Sekawan to soon begin construction of power plant

IDX-listed integrated coal mining and energy firm PT Sekawan Intipratama Tbk said it would soon start construction of a 2x15 MW coal-fired power plant in Melak District, West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan.

Herry said the company is finalizing negotiation with a local EPC contractor, a process expected to be completed by end of this month, so that construction process can begin next month.

Sekawan President Director Suluhuddin Noor said that the planned power plant would support the company?s planned nearby ethanol production facility, which hopefully can be realized next year.
