Coal mining company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) said its 1x7.5 MW mine mouth power plant in Sekayan, East Kalimantan is ready for commissioning in December 2015.
President Director, Jeffrey Mulyono told Petromindo.com on Monday that all the main components for the power plant have been in place at the location.
?The main components such as boiler, generator, chimney, water treatment plant and others are now at the power plant site and are ready for assembling. The assembling is supposed to be completed in November and commissioning might be held in the early December this year,? he said
The power plant, built with a total investment of US$ 15 million borrowed from local banks will consume coal with 3,200 Kcal calorific value. The power from the power plant will primarily be used for the company?s own operation in Sekayan. ?About 4 MW will be used for our own use and 2 MW will be sold to PLN,? Jeffrey said
