Sele Raya spuds Lumbian-2 well

Oil and gas firm PT Sele Raya Merangin Dua (SRMD) spudded the Lumbian-2 well in the Merangin II block in the middle of March 2016, according to a top official of the firm.

?Drilling of this exploration well will be completed approximately one month from now,? company?s President and General Manager Juchiro Tampi told Petromindo.com.

The Merangin II block spans three regencies, namely Musi Rawas, Musi Rawas Utara, both in South Sumatra province, and Sorolangun in Jambi province.

The block was awarded to Sele Raya in October 2003. Sele Raya operates the block with a 44.6 percent interest, while the remaining is held by Merangin B.V. (35.4 percent) and Sinochem Merangin Ltd. (20 percent).
