Sele Raya starts drilling Bestari A-1 well

PT Sele Raya Energi, the operator of Blora block, has started the drilling of Bestari A-1 exploration well in Pati, Central Java.

The drilling, which was initially planned for the end of February but was delayed due to heavy rainfalls, was made possible due to supports from the local government who has issued all the necessary permits, said Roesmardani, Head of Operation for East Java, Papua and Maluku at upstream authority BPMIGAS.

?Hopefully this exploration activity can soon be upgraded into exploitation,? he said.

Sele Raya was awarded exploration contract for the block in 2009.
