Semen Gresik sees 2009 coal consumption at 3MT

Indonesia?s top cement maker PT.Semen Gresik Tbk sees its coal consumption in 2009 to be at around 3 million tonnes, up from 2.8 million tonnes in 2008.
CEO Dwi Soetjipto said coal would be consumed by its cements plans in West Sumatra, East Java and South Sulawesi.
Dwi said in 2009 the company started to decrease portion of high CV coal in its coal consumption mix to cut costs.
The company?s R&D Director Suharto said 50 percent of the company?s coal requirement in 2009 would be supplied by South Kalimantan coal miner PT.Adaro Indonesia and another 20 percent by East Kalimantan miner PT.Kideco Jaya Agung. (bernard)
