Serica drills another N. Sumatra well

Serica Eenergy, a UK oil, gas firm listed in TSX-Venture Exchange, Canada announced Wednesday it had started the drilling of Togar-1A exploration well offshore North Sumatra, the second well in a two-well program.
The company said the semi-submersible drilling rig Galaxy Driller is drilling Togar-1A in the Asahan Offshore Production Sharing Contract (PSC) to the depth of 6,500 feet.
The company said following the completion of the well, will hold a 55% interest in the PSC, which is located approximately 45 kms north of Medan, Indonesia's third largest city.
Earlier last week, Serica announced its nearby Kambuna-2 appraisal well in Glagah Kambuna TAC, offshore North Sumatra, had tested gas and condensate at a stabilised rate of 17.5 MMCFD together with over 1,500 BPD of 55 degrees API condensate.(alex)
