Serica into N. Sumatra 3-D seismic campaign

UK-based oil firm Serica Energy will hold large 3-D seismic survey campaign 3D seismic survey is scheduled to commence in September, covering the Kambuna Field in Glagah Kambuna TAC area, offshore North Sumatra and adjacent areas, to delineate field extent and evaluate other prospects.

Serica, the operator and 65 percent interest holder of Glagah Kambuna TAC is planning fast track development approved by Indonesian authorities on Kambuna field. Kambuna is targeted to come onstream in 2008 at an initial rate of 50 million cubic feet of gas per day and 5,000 barrels of condensate per day. Serica's Board of Directors is expected to give full project sanction in the near future. (alex)
