Servo Lintas set to start construction of new coal hauling road

PT Servo Lintas Raya (SLR), a subsidiary of PT Titan Infra Sejahtera (TIS), plans to begin construction of an additional 35-kilometer coal hauling road next month. SLR currently operates a 118-kilometer coal hauling road in South Sumatra Province, connecting coal producers in the Muara Enim and Lahat regencies to domestic and export markets.

“Construction of the new road is expected to start in August and will be completed in less than a year,” said Victor B. Tanuadji, President Director of SLR to Petromindo.com on the sidelines of the 2025 Indonesia Smart Mining Conference on Tuesday.

Victor explained that the new 35-kilometer road will consist of two branches—one leading to Muara Enim and the other to Lahat. He noted that SLR is currently prioritizing the Lahat branch, where approximately 90 percent of land acquisition has already been completed. In contrast, the Muara Enim branch is still in the planning stage.

“The road crosses several coal concessions, so we’re collaborating with mining companies operating in those areas to develop the road,” he said.

According to Victor, the new road will help coal miners avoid using public roads for transportation in both Muara Enim and Lahat regencies. The SLR coal hauling road connects to Titan Infra Sejahtera’s coal port, which is operated by PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya (SDJ).
