Seven power plant projects to be completed in 2018-2019

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN said that seven coal-fired and combined-cycle power plant projects in Banten and Jakarta are expected to be completed in 2018 and 2019.
Bisnis Indonesia quoted PLN Director for Western Part of Java Region, Haryanto WS, as saying Thursday that construction of the power plant projects are progressing and there have been no obstacles.
He said that the seven projects include PLTU Suralaya 9 and 10 coal-fired power plant projects, each with capacity of 1,000 MW; 2x1,000 MW PLTU Jawa 7; 800 MW PLTGU Priok combined-cycle power plant project; 500 MW PLTGU Muara Karang; and 315 MW PLTGU Lontar Expansion project.
?There have been no obstacles at all. The contractors are working day and night. The construction of the power plants in Banten and Jakarta are expected to be completed in 2018 and 2019 as planned. We?re optimistic,? he said. (*)
