Several companies interested in Medco asset in offshore East Java

Several companies have submitted letters expressing desire to farm in the Bawean block, offshore East Java, owned by IDX-listed oil and gas firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, according to an industry source.
?The interested companies include Salamander, Bukit Energy, Petronas, Neon Energy, Genting, and Santos,? the source told Petromindo.com.
The source did not specify the percentage of shares in the block Medco plans to farm out.
The block is 65 percent owned by Medco through its subsidiary Medco Bawean (Holding) Pte Ltd and the remaining interest is held by Camar Resources Canada Inc. which is also the operator of the block.
