Sewatama builds new electricity depot in Balikpapan

PT Sumberdaya Sewatama, which is engaged in providing power supply and diesel power generator rental service, is currently building a new electricity depot and office in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Kontan reported on Thursday.

The new depot which is located on a three-hectare area in Balikpapan will be built with total investment of about Rp 5.4 billion, said Ade Satari, the corporate secretary of ABM Investama, the parent company of Sumberdaya.

Ade said that the company would relocate all the company?s activities from the existing depot near the Sepinggan airport in Balikpapan to the new depot as soon as the new building is completed.

He hoped that the construction of the new depot would enable the company to improve its services to customers mostly comprising of mining, oil and gas companies.

Through the new depot, Sumberdaya provides a number of electricity related services such as temporary power supply, maintenance and operation services for power plants as well as dewatering services for mining companies. (*)
