Sewatama wins tender to provide electricity in Riau

?We hope the contract could be signed this week and the generator can be operated 30 days after the signing of the contract,? the company?s President Director Hasto Kristiyono said on Tuesday evening.
At present, Sewatama operates large diesel generators with a capacity of up to 20 megawatt in South, Central Kalimantan and Lampung and other areas. The company has so far operated diesel generators in 70 locations in Indonesia with total capacity of 884 megawatt.
Providing electricity service remains the core business of Sewatama, contributing 94 percent of the company?s total revenues. In the first semester of this year, the revenues rose 29 percent, but Hasto refused to elaborate.
The company also operates as an indepedent power producer (IPP) through its subsidiary PT ABM Investama
Sewatama has 750 generator sets for rental. At present, it operates a diesel generator with a capacity of 8 megawatt to back up the electricity service provided by PLN in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport. (*)
