Buying interest for Indonesian continues where it left off at the end of last week, being described by one seller as "reasonably strong". This follows support that emerged in the second half of last week when Chinese buying picked up. For low-rank, a bid was heard over the weekend at $36.50/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, for an April loading geared vessel. Offers were heard today at $37.50-38.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for April loading geared vessels. Late on Friday, a Panamax was concluded at around $37.50/t FOB, basis 3,700 kc NAR, for April loading.
Paper
M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was bid for April at $36.60/t and offered at $37.75/t. Value for Q3 was said to be around $37.35/t. (ends)
