Loading conditions were said to have improved in Kalimantan, and the weather was also said to be better than it has been recently. However, traders in Jakarta complained that the week had got off to a quiet start. For low-rank, offers continue to outnumber bids, although offers for prompt loading cargoes appear to be holding their value more than those of August and September. Offers for geared vessels loading in July were reported at $36.00-36.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, while a Panamax was offered at $37.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. For August and September, offers were heard at $35.75/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for geared vessels.

Prompt paper prices were little changed in Asian hours. M42 paper, listed on SGX, was bid at $35.50 and offered at $36.10 for July today. August was bid at $35.00 and offered at $36.00, while September was bid at $34.90 and offered at $36.00.
