Physical

Low-rank material was heard offered at $24.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a gearless vessel loading in September. However, no bids were heard against. A Chinese trader said an October-loading geared vessel was bid at $21.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, but did not attract any offers. Many Indonesian suppliers say they are unwilling to lower their offers as cost levels have been breached at current prices. An indicative bid was heard from the Indian market for a low-rank shipment at $23.00/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, loading in end September or early October, but no offers were heard against.

 

Paper

M42 traded via SGX for October at $24.20 and $24.30 on Tuesday, for a total of 15,000 t. Earlier on Tuesday, September was bid at $23.00 and offered at $23.85, while October was bid at $23.75 and offered at $24.55. November was bid at $25.00 and offered at $25.75. An M42 Q4-20 contract was bid at $24.90 and offered at $25.60.
