Indonesian prices remained reasonably supported, with some deals emerging from the Coaltrans event in Shanghai. Panamaxes were reported to be bid at around $38.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for late April, early May loading, with offers in the range of $39.50-40.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. There was also talk of an unconfirmed deal done at $39.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a Panamax loading in June. Another Panamax, loading in April, was heard bid at $38.75/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR.
Paper
M42, as listed on SGX, was bid today at $37.45/t for April and offered at $38.15/t. May was bid at $37.10/t against an offer at $38.35/t, while June was bid at $36.75 and offered at $38.25/t and July was bid at $36.15/t and offered at $38.25. Further out, M42 for Q3 2019 was bid at $35.75/t and offered at $38.25/t, while Q4 2019 was bid at $36.00/t and offered at $38.25/t. (ends)
