Physical

Heavy rains continue to hamper production and logistics across Indonesia's mining regions, leading to some reports of force majeure. For low-rank, there was talk of a deal being done at above $50.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, although this could not be confirmed at the time of writing. An offer for a geared vessel loading in February was reported at $49.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. Further out, bids were reported at $44.00/t FOB, and $41.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for geared vessels loading in March and April, respectively. A trade was also reported at $35.60/t FOB, basis 3,350 kc NAR, for a geared vessel loading in February.

 

Paper

M42 traded a couple of time at $48.00, while February transacted at $49.05. Deals were also done for March at $45.80-46.70, and April at $42.50-43.50. Earlier in the day, M42 was heard bid for January at $47.00-48.00 and offered at $48.50-49.50, while February was bid at $47.00 and March bid at $42.00. A spread for February vs March was bid at M42 plus $2.25 and offered at plus $3.20 and March vs April was bid at plus $1.65 and offered at plus $2.60. A market for April vs May was bid at plus $0.70 and offered at plus $1.35.
