Despite rising for much of last week, Indonesian low-rank prices were said to have softened towards the end of the week. There was, however, at least one participant who still saw bidding levels at around $38.00/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc, for May loading geared vessels. A separate bid was reported at $37.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a May loading geared vessel. An offer was also reported at $39.00/t FOB, same basis. Bids were reported at $38.00-38.50/t FOB for a May loading Panamax, with offers said to be at $39.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was bid at $37.65/t for April and offered at $38.40/t. May was bid at $37.50/t against and offer at $38.65/t, while June was bid at $37.25 and offered at $38.65. Further out, M42 for Q3 2019 was bid at $36.00/t and offered at $38.25/t, while Q4 2019 was bid at $36.05/t and offered at $38.25/t. (ends)
