Asia's thermal markets appeared to be relatively slow and stable today, with prices discussed at similar levels to those seen since end of last week. For low-rank, a bid was reported at $35.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a January loading gearless vessel, while an offer was heard at $34.50/t FOB, same basis, for a January loading Supramax. For a lower c.v. shipment, an offer was reported at $28.25/t FOB, basis 3,400 kc NAR, for a December loading geared vessel with the offer against at $27.00-27.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
M42 paper, listed on SGX, traded for January and February at $33.95, which is down on where both months traded last week, at $34.20. After the deals, January was bid at $33.90 and offered at $34.30, with February bid at $33.65 and offered at $34.10. Later on in the session, January traded again at $34.15. Just under 0.5 mt of M42 paper has traded in Q4-19 so far.
