Several Indonesian traders said that the constrained supply in Kalimantan due to extreme weather in parts of the region have not done much to boost prices. A bid was also reported at $37.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a July lading Panamax, which was at the top end of where similar deals were reported last week. Currently, Panamaxes appear to be favoured over Supramaxes for spot deals.
Paper
Paper prices were largely unchanged in Asia hours. M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was bids were reported at $35.75-36.00/t although offers were back at $38.00, with participants still unclear as to what the current flooding in Kalimantan was will have on prices. (ends)
