Heavy rain in parts of Kalimantan has hampered output at a number of mines, which is expected to keep spot supply tight. For low-rank, an offer was heard at $58.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a late May, early June loading Panamax. A June loading Panamax was bid at $54.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, while offers for July loading geared vessels were reported all the way between $55.00-57.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR.

During the day M42 was bid at $53.85 for May, while June was bid at $52.00 and offered $57.50. July was offered at $54.00 and August was offered at $54.00. Further out, Q3-21 was bid at $46.00 and offered at $52.75, while Q4-21 was bid at $42.00. A spread for June vs July was bid at M42 plus $1.60 and offered $2.75, and July vs August was bid at plus $1.00 and offered at plus $2.75. August vs September was also bid at M42 plus $1.00 an offered at plus $2.75.
