Coal suppliers in Indonesia mentioned that several cargo deferments had been called for by buyers of April loading cargoes amid sustained weakness in demand. For low-rank material, there appears to be more support for prompt loading cargoes than those loading in the second half of April. A bid for an early April loading geared vessel was said to have been seen at just over $32.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, meanwhile bids for the second half of the month ranged between $30.00-$31.50/t FOB, same basis. Offers for geared vessels loading in April were reported at $32.00-32.75/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, depending on which half of the month they were loading.
Paper
Paper prices were little changed in Asian trading. M42, listed on SGX and ICE, was bid for March at $32.35 and offered at $32.85, while April was bid at $32.00 and offered at $32.30.
