Buying interest from China continues to support Indonesian low-rank and sub-bituminous prices. Offering levels were heard at $38.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR for late April, early May, loading geared vessels, with buying interest said to be around $36.50-37.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR for April and May loading geared vessels. There was some talk of deals being done at $37.00-37.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, although this could not be confirmed. An offer was heard at $39.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for April loading gearless vessels.
Paper
M42 paper, as listed on SGX, traded for April at $37.65/t for 10,000 t. Markets were also reported for May, bid at $37.25/t and offered at $38.35/t, while June was bid at $36.75/t and offered at $39.25/t. Further out, Q3 2019 was bid at $36.40/t against and offer at $39.25/t. Q4 2019 was bid at $36.50/t and offered at $39.50/t. (ends)
