Physical

There was little change to market sentiment as trading participants bemoaned a lack of activity. Indonesia is on national holiday Thursday and Friday, so the limited activity of yesterday, only became more limited. Cargoes of low-rank were heard offered at $23.50-23.75/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for September loading geared vessels. An October loading geared vessel was heard bid at $22.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, and offered at $24.75/t FOB, same basis. On an index-linked basis, September was offered, on screen, at flat to M42 for a geared vessel of 3,800 kc NAR material. Markets for October and November loading shipments were also reported, both bid at M42 minus $1.00/t against an offer at $0.00/t.

 

Paper

M42 traded on SGX at $23.20 for 10,000 t for September, down on the last transacted level of $23.75 earlier in the week. Later in the day, a bid for September was reported at $23.00 and offered at $23.80, with October bid at $23.75 and offered at $24.90. Further out, Q4-20 was bid at $25.00 and offered at $25.85, while Q1-21 was bid at $26.35 and offered at $28.85.
