Physical 

Indonesian markets are understood to have been quiet so far this week, with Chinese and Indian buying activity said to be muted. For low-rank cargoes, a deal was said to have been done at $37.00/t FOB, basis 3,700 kc NAR, for a July loading geared vessel, although this could not be confirmed. Similar quality material was heard offered at $39.00/t FOB, basis 3,700 kc NAR, for a June loading Panamax and $38.50/t FOB, same basis, for a June loading geared vessel. Offers were also reported at $39.50-40.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, also for June loading Panamaxes.

 

Paper

Paper markets were under pressure in Asia, with Newcastle, API4 and M42 all trading lower. M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was trading lower, with June trading at $37.70/t. Earlier, May was bid at $38.50/t and offered at $39.05/t, June was bid at $37.50/t and offered at $38.30/t, with July bid at $37.10/t and offered at $38.40/t. Further out, Q3 was bid at $36.55/t and offered at $38.50/t. (ends)
