With a week-long holiday in China looming next week, participants there were anticipating that activity would be somewhat subdued in the next few days. Little change was reported in Indonesian prices. Offers for October-loading Panamaxes were reported at $33.50-34.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. A deal emerged from last week done at $32.80/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for an October loading geared vessel.
Paper
M42, listed on SGX, traded at $32.85 for October for 15,000 t and at $33.25 for Q4-19 for 5,000 t a month. Before the deals October was bid at $32.75 and offered at $33.00, while November was bid at $32.75 and offered at $33.40. Q4-19 was bid at $33.15. Further out, Q1-20 was bid at $34.55 and offered at $35.25. Calendar 2020 was bid at $33.75 and offered at $36.25.
